How to Play Math Slime Survivor: Controls and Math Missions
Searching for “수학 서바이버” and wondering how to start? Luna Whale’s game opens with the Korean title “수학 마법학교 · 슬라임 서바이버”. You move a wizard away from slimes while spells fire automatically. Math missions interrupt the action so you can choose an answer and read feedback.
We make this game at Luna Whale. This guide was checked on 1 November 2026 against the public game and its first mission. The tested browser flow started without a download, sign-in or payment screen. The game interface is currently Korean; the translated explanations below do not change its interface language.
1. Open the game and choose a wizard
Use the game link at the end of this article. The start screen offers 코코 (Coco), 루나 (Luna) and 베리 (Berry). Their cards describe different health, speed and starting magic. Coco is selected initially, so you can use that default for a first attempt without making a detailed character comparison.
Select “모험 시작” (Start adventure). Before using the game with a class, try it on the actual device and confirm that the playfield and pause button appear. The starting instructions show movement, dash and automatic attacks. You can begin by learning to move and pause; you do not need to open the candy shop first.
2. Move first, then try the dash
On a keyboard, use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D to move, and Space to dash. On a touch screen, drag within the playfield to move and use the DASH button on the right. Attacks are automatic, so moving into a clear space is a more useful first task than looking for a fire button.
Use the pause button marked Ⅱ when you need a break. The pause menu offers “계속하기” (Continue) and “처음 화면으로” (Back to the start screen). Returning to the start screen ends that attempt. During the check, starting, keyboard movement and pausing worked; test touch movement on your own device before relying on it in a lesson.
3. Read the math mission before choosing
The current game schedules five math missions during a surviving run. A mission stops combat and presents four answer choices. The first mission is addition; later question types in the current game include subtraction, multiplication, division and a missing multiplication factor. A short attempt may end before all five appear.
In our first-mission check, the game asked 5 + 4 and accepted 9, then showed an explanation and “전투 계속하기” (Continue battle). This is an example, not a fixed opening question. Take time to calculate. The current game lets you try another answer after a mistake while combat time remains stopped. After a correct answer, read the feedback before continuing.
4. Finish with one calculation to explain
For a classroom activity, agree on a stopping point before play: for example, finish one math mission and discuss it. Ask the learner to explain one calculation on paper or aloud. Surviving longer also depends on movement and game choices, so survival time alone is not a measure of mathematical understanding.
The game’s candy shop uses candy collected in play to improve later attempts. The browser-start check did not require a shop purchase. Keep the first session focused on controls and one calculation; use the linked times tables practice guide if you want a separate printable or slower multiplication activity afterward.
